Mac is talking to Al Meisman and his ever so talented pianist-son, Josh Meisman. Al was in the Marines for four years.

On the4th of July, we gathered..we band of brothers!

Thanks to our dear friend Duke Boswell, we had a wonderful 4th of July celebration with our WWII friends and family. The board of From Mists of Time and the makers and the stars of Bomber's Moon: Girl's Beneath the bombs got together on the backporch of the Stagecoach Restaurant. It was a wonderful reunion.

Irmgard Hunt spent her childhood living on the mountains below Hitler's Eagle Nest

Irmgard told the group how her family was split over whether they believed in Hitler or should fear him. Her wonderful book is a page-turner. She sold out thanks to the group, but if anyone didn't get one of her autobiographies, here is her e-mail address. (The book is on sale right now, if you act fast!) irmgardhunt13@gmail.com

Jay Maloney, A wordsmith.... and Viet Nam Veteran

He says:
Your project is a priceless thing in so many ways. The group of people whom you've gathered together are the living eyes and ears of a time in history that is within just a few years of being erased and rewritten. The stories they tell are immensly important. thank you for all that you are doing. It's really important.

Patty gives a Thomas Jefferson quote....and Jane Rogers is a wonderful comrade.

Josh is one of our musicians for our PBS show, Bomber's Moon: Girl's Beneath the Bombs which aired twice in 2009 and continues to circulate all over the state. This is the first time he met Duke Boswell, 82nd Airborn, and dear friend of From Mists of Time's board.

On May 25th, the wonderful men and women who starred in our Rocky Mountain PBS show, "Bomber's Moon: Girls Beneath the Bombs" gathered one more time to talk to the students of COLORADO SPRINGS EARLY COLLEGES. It was an incredible day of heartfelt questions and answers between the generations.

Summer had the most important question of the day: "How did you deal with losing your friends or family in war." Silence....was their answer.
Allison Ashley talks to Howard Casey, 8th Air Force, B-24 ball turret gunner. Summer Malloy looks on.
Edi Kaufman from Linz, Austria (where Hitler grew up) shared a memory with Christina.
Summer Maloney talks to Silke after class. Howard Casey, B-24 ball turret gunner looks on.

Mrs. Spiers, joshing with Josh Shepherd, Cathrine and Margaret. Three of her favorite World History Students.

Shauna and Edi Kaufman of Linz, Austria talk after the presentation.

A British World War II Hero goes to Washington!

The lovely and brilliant Barbara Saks is going to Washington D.C. to see the WWII Memorial on the first flight of "Honor Flight of Southern Colorado" in September. Barbara was with the Royal Air Force at Bletchley Park and "plotted" the aircraft, --- laid down colored arrows on the huge Sector Table Map to plot the track of the planes for the Controller on the Upper Deck to follow. She was with the RAF fighters, Spitfires and Hurricanes, and it was they, the Few, who stopped the invasion of Britain on her 23rd birthday, Sunday 15th September 1940, Battle of Britain Day. Special thanks to JANE H.RODGERS- new Founder of the Honor Flights of Southern Colorado, a friend and promoter of all WWII/Korean War Veterans! Congratulations to Barbara and thank you Jane Rogers for your dedication and love of our wonderful Greatest Generation.
